Stimulating Biking   by jay on Feb 18, 2009

The $787 billion economic stimulus package signed into law yesterday (2/17/09) has some serious dollars set aside for bike projects. At first reading, there seems to be a minimum of $825 million available for bike projects, up to $1.5 billion. How the money will be spent will be largely up to individual states, so start bugging your state DOT ASAP to get as much money as possible dedicated to bikeway improvements. More details and analysis can be found here.
