Schouten Nabs Two Cross Podiums In Two Days on Oct 25, 2007

Madison, Wisc.- October 25, 2007 - Planet Bike, a leading manufacturer of innovative, high quality, and practical bicycle accessories, is proud to announce that Team Planet Bike's Tristan Schouten out sprinted Brent Prenzlow (Alan North America) to win Sunday's Southern California Prestige Series cyclocross race at Hanson Dam Park. The victory was the second career UCI win for Schouten, and came one day after finishing second to Prenzlow in Saturday's CICLE cross race.

While most of the big guns were busting heads with each other at Wissahickon in Pennsylvania, and on the eve of the US Grand Prix of Cyclocross next weekend in Louisville, Prenzlow, Schouten, Mike Easter and Mark Noble (Time Factory Team), and Jason First (Voodoo), set their sights on the coveted UCI points of Hanson Dam.

Sunday, racers not only battled each other, but dry and bumpy conditions, and relentless wind. Prenzlow and Schouten fought each other for the lead all day, and held off repeated attacks by Easter.

Schouten also rode well last week at two UCI races in Ohio, finishing 9th the first day and 7th the next.
